What can you expect? The typical buying process takes place in 6 steps:
1 Find an agent
Identifying the right agent for you and your needs is a foundational first step. Make sure you choose someone you can trust, someone with local expertise, and someone who can look out for your best interests throughout the entire transaction. If you’d like us to make the match for you, we’re here to help.
2 Get pre approved
Pre-approval isn’t required but can give you a leg up on other buyers when it comes time to make an offer on a home. Plus, knowledge is power and meeting with a mortgage lender will help you understand how much you can afford and what financing options are available to you. If you'd like me to recommend a mortgage lender, just let me know!
3 Start the search
I will work with you to align on all of your criteria for your new home. I will begin sending homes that meet your needs and help you narrow down and weigh your options. As you identify properties that you’d like to see in person, we will will schedule showings and take you for tours until you find the one that’s just right for you.
4 Make the deal
When you find your dream home, I will assist you in crafting, presenting, and negotiating the offer and any subsequent terms. I will make sure that you get the home you want for a fair price—a transaction in your best interest.
Between when the seller accepts your offer and closing day you have time for home inspections, appraisal, title, insurance, financing, and more. There is an opportunity for further negotiations, should the need arise. I will be with you every step of the way to ensure each task is handled correctly and that we get to the closing table properly and on time.
6 Complete the closing
Instructions for what to bring to closing, like funds, ID, and paperwork, will be provided and you’ll see a line-itemed breakdown of terms and expenses prior to closing. On closing day you’ll get your keys and can move into your new home!
